Great Introduction of Apologetics for Kids

This course was a great introduction into Apologetics for my kids. The stories intertwined into the lessons allowed my kids (ages 10 and 8) to ask questions that added more substance to these videos. My kids drew a good deal of lessons from the stories and it allowed us to continue to have great discussions inspired by these stories.

I would recommend this for children 8 years and over. My 10 year old really was engaged by the lessons.

Thought Provoking and Encouraging

Before going through this course, I had never even considered my presuppositions, and much less thought about how they relate to apologetics.  This course opened my eyes to the importance of understanding and challenging my own presuppositions. I have struggled answering non-Christian friends when they raised objections, but now I feel more equipped and confident to discuss the reasonableness of Christianity and what it claims. The material is presented in a way that is easy to understand in layman's terms, yet its content is thought provoking and enlightening. One of the best features, is that each video is less than 15 minutes, so that I was able to easily go through the course as I had snippets of time. As Derek Davis puts out more content, I will be returning for more!

Thinking Rightly

Derek Davis has put together a string of videos that will keep your mind turning. Do you think philosophy is boring? Breathe Air, Swallow Food, and Think Rightly provides bite sized segments that offer days of worthwhile, thought-provoking content. Do you want to know more about the way the world thinks? Each part of this course will strengthen your Christian faith by putting other worldviews into proper context by exposing just what it is that the world believes and why. Take this course, grow in understanding, and feel good about breathing, eating and thinking rightly.

A Solid Primer for Presuppositionalism

Derek Davis does a good job here of introducing viewers to presuppostional apologetics. He clearly lays out the foundational thinking behind presuppositionalism and then goes on to explain how to employ this method of apologetics in the real world. I appreciated Derek's emphasis that apologetics are not primarily for destroying one's opponents in a debate, but rather are to be used to facilitate winsome conversation with unbelievers. He shows how the presuppositional method goes straight to the root of the differences between Christian and non-Christian thought. Along the way he uses apt illustrations and examples to show what all this looks like in real life. I would recommend this course for anyone who finds it a struggle to talk about the faith with unbelieving friends and family. It would also be good for highschoolers who are thinking out owning and defending their own faith. I watched all these videos in an afternoon, but one could also watch a video a day and work in some supplemental reading to make this a longer course, say for homeschooling.

Targeted and Focused

I really enjoyed the material as it is a very focused presentation of the typical arguments Christians hear when sharing the gospel followed with well thought out examples to demonstrate the error in the argument, usually starting with a very simple example and working up to the typical statement.

Easy to understand and a good library for a quick search on a specific topic or argument. Well done Derek!
