Course Description

Would your kids like to learn about worldviews, philosophy, and critical thinking?  Yeah, mine don't want to either.

Most *adults* glaze over when they hear those words, so how can we expect our children to have any interest? Let's face it, unless it hits us where we live, it's hard to give our time and attention to it.

But that is the thing. Nothing hits closer to home than these issues.  We just don't recognize them by their academic terms. The trick is to show our kids (and maybe even ourselves) that we use, rely on, and are immersed in these disciplines every minute of every day.

I created "Rated G For General Audiences" to provide families with a fun and easy way to spark conversations about thinking rightly. Our kids are interested in these issues once we strip away the unfamiliar terms and show them how relevant this is for them. This video only scratches the surface of these vast topics, but that is the idea - to wet your child's appetite for more active and critical thinking. This video will generate fruitful discussions about defending the Christian faith (apologetics), evaluating evidence, discovering your blind spots, and much more.

And if your family is as busy as mine, you'll like the fact that you can also watch/listen to this on the go on your mobile device anywhere, anytime. The Rated G chapter consists of two videos, each around 15 minutes long. An outline of the videos in text form is also included. Just click "Enroll for Free", create a password, and you've got the videos and outline on any device.

Age recommendation for optimal engagement is 10-13 year olds.

Rated G For General Audiences is free, and always will be. So help me spread the word about this chapter to the families in your life, to get them talking about these issues and more importantly, thinking rightly!

(Rated G For General Audiences is just 1 section taken from a 10 section Christian apologetics course called "Breathe Air, Swallow Food, and Think Rightly". The other 9 sections are not geared toward kids like this one. If, after watching Rated G with your kids you are inspired to keep going and learn more for yourself, check out the other options for thinking rightly below.)

This course was a great introduction into Apologetics for my kids. The stories intertwined into the lessons allowed my kids (ages 10 and 8) to ask questions that added more substance to these videos. My kids drew a good deal of lessons from the stories and it allowed us to continue to have great discussions inspired by these stories. I would recommend this for children 8 years and over. My 10 year old really was engaged by the lessons.
